Will my information be kept confidential?
Your answers to this survey will be kept strictly confidential. Only researchers working on this project will have access to them. No personal details or information that could be used to identify you will be collected. Your answers will be stored on a secure password protected server hosted by Monash University and the data collected from this survey will be entered into an electronic database that will be stored in a password protected file at The Alfred Hospital.
Why should I participate and are there any risks to me?
Findings from this survey may be used to help design future HIV cure studies. We are very grateful to people for taking the time to complete this survey. We do not anticipate any risks to you in completing this survey. There are no sensitive or distressing questions, however if you do not feel comfortable answering a question, you may just leave it blank and move on to the next question. This survey is voluntary and you are under no obligation to complete it. Service providers will not know if you do or do not complete the survey. Choosing not to complete this survey will not impact on the services you received form any organisation or clinic.
Where will the findings be published?
The results of this survey will be published in academic publications in peer reviewed journals. We will also write about the results for a general audience on hivcure.com.au, providing links to the published study.
